B117A-01 Backup Microphone - General electrical failure
NOTE:

B1252-87 USB Port - Missing message
  • Unable to establish internet connection using the customer SIM card
  • Communication with the SIM card failing
  • SIM card reader internal failure
  • Check the operation of the customer SIM card
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTCs and retest. If the fault persists, install a new SIM card reader
B14A9-13 BroadR-Reach Link - Telematics (+) - Circuit open
  • Telematic unable to interface with the infotainment system
  • Telematic Ethernet circuit open circuit or high resistance
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTCs and retest.
  • If the fault persists refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the telematic Ethernet circuit for open circuit or high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary. Clear the DTCs and retest.
B14A9-64 BroadR-Reach Link - Telematics (+) - Signal Plausibility Failure
  • Telematic unable to interface with the infotainment system
  • Telematic control module internal failure
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the Infotainment Master Controller (IMC) module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
  • If the fault persists install a new telematic control module. If this DTC is still present after the installation of a new telematic control module refer to the Infotainment Master Controller (IMC) module related DTCs. Replacement of the IMC module may be advised
B14AA-13 BroadR-Reach Link - Telematics (-) - Circuit open
  • Telematic unable to interface with the infotainment system
  • Telematic Ethernet circuit open circuit open circuit or high resistance
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTCs and retest.
  • If the fault persists refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the telematic Ethernet circuit for open circuit or high resistance. Repair circuit as required. Clear the DTCs and retest
B14AA-64 BroadR-Reach Link - Telematics (-) - Signal Plausibility Failure

  • GSM antenna circuit short circuit to antenna shield/screen
  • Incorrect Stolen Vehicle Tracking (SVT) ‘Theft Alert’ notification through the In Control application
NOTE:

This DTC will cause the warning "SOS limited functionality" to be displayed on the instrument cluster

  • To inspect for a permanent or intermittent fault, using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment perform the diagnostic routine - On Demand Self Test (0x0202)
  • If the fault is permanent, refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and inspect the GSM antenna circuit for short circuit to ground. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
  • If the fault is intermittent, refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and test the GSM antenna circuit for short circuit to antenna shield/screen. Using a multimeter measure the circuit resistance between the GSM antenna cable central pin and the shield/screen at the antenna connector, the nominal resistance of the GSM antenna circuit will be approximately 10,000 Ohms. Then apply pressure to the GSM antenna cable and manipulate the cable at the base of the GSM antenna to test for internal circuit failure. If the circuit resistance is reduced as the cable is manipulated an internal cable failure is confirmed. Replace the GSM antenna as necessary
B1D55-12 Antenna #2 - Circuit short to battery

This DTC will cause the warning "SOS limited functionality" to be displayed on the instrument cluster

  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check datalogger signal - Main ECU Supply Voltage (0xDD02). Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the telematic control module power and ground circuits for open circuit or high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
  • Refer to the relevant section of the workshop manual and check the battery and charging system
U0028-87 Vehicle Communication Bus A - Missing Message
  • Poor telematic control module functionality
  • Missing message from another control module via the high speed CAN bus (powertrain)
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the snapshot data to determine the missing message source control module. Check the relevant control module for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
U0028-88 Vehicle Communication Bus A - Bus Off
NOTE:

Circuit reference - HS CAN H (PT)/HS CAN L (PT)

  • Poor telematic control module functionality
  • High speed CAN bus (powertrain) circuit short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit or high resistance

  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the high speed CAN bus (powertrain) circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit or high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
U0037-87 Vehicle Communication Bus B - Missing Message
  • Poor telematic control module functionality
  • Missing message from another control module via the medium speed CAN bus (body)

U0037-88 Vehicle Communication Bus B - Bus Off
NOTE:

Circuit reference - MS CAN H (BO)/MS CAN L (BO)

  • Poor telematic control module functionality
  • High speed CAN bus (body) circuit short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit or high resistance
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the medium speed CAN bus (body) circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit or high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as required
U0300-00 Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility - No sub type information
  • Possibility of poor telematic control module functionality
  • Car configuration file mismatch with vehicle specification
NOTE:

After updating the car configuration file, set the ignition to on and wait 30 seconds before clearing the DTCs

  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check and up-date the car configuration file as necessary. Clear the DTCs and retest
U201A-51 Control Module Main Calibration Data - Not programmed
  • Telematic control module is not configured correctly
NOTE:

The Telematic Control Module (TCU) may be sending incorrect messages to the monitoring centre, or sending no information at all, when detecting this fault

  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, re-configure the telematic control module with the latest level software
U201A-54 Control Module Main Calibration Data - Missing calibration
  • Telematic control module is not configured correctly
NOTE:

The Telematic Control Module (TCU) may be sending incorrect messages to the monitoring centre, or sending no information at all, when detecting this fault

  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, re-configure the telematic control module with the latest level software
U2109-09 Back-up Battery - Component failures
  • Backup battery poor connection or not connected
  • Telematic control module internal battery circuit open circuit, high resistance
  • Telematic control module internal battery failure
NOTE:

This DTC will cause the warning "SOS limited functionality" to be displayed on the instrument cluster

  • Check the backup battery for poor connection or not connected
  • Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the telematic control module internal battery circuit for open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTCs and perform routine - Test Internal Backup Battery. If the fault persists, install a new telematic control module internal battery
U2109-91 Back-up Battery - Parametric
  • Low charge in backup battery
  • Telematic control module internal battery failure
NOTE:

Following an emergency call or stolen vehicle tracking alert, a new telematic control module internal battery must be installed before this DTC can be cleared

  • Replace the backup battery in the telematic control module. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform the routine - Telematics Battery Replacement Reset. Clear the DTCs and retest. To ensure the SOS limited message is cleared from the cluster, the battery parameter in the telematic control module needs to be reset via the diagnostic routine – Test Internal Backup Battery
U2300-54 Central Configuration - Missing Calibration
  • Car configuration file not received
NOTE:

After updating the car configuration file, set the ignition to on and wait 30 seconds before clearing the DTCs

  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check and update the car configuration file as necessary. Clear the DTCs and retest
U2300-55 Central Configuration - Not Configured
  • Car configuration file mismatch with the vehicle specification
  • Telematic control module is not configured correctly
NOTE:

This DTC may cause the warning "SOS not available" to be displayed on the instrument cluster

  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check and update the car configuration file as necessary
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, re-configure the telematic control module with the latest level software. Clear the DTCs and retest
U2300-56 Central Configuration - Invalid/Incomplete Configuration
  • Car configuration file mismatch with the vehicle specification
  • Telematic control module is not configured correctly

U3000-44 Control Module - Data memory failure
  • Possibility of poor telematic control module functionality
  • Telematic control module failure
  • Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the DTCs and retest. If the fault persists, install a new telematic control module
U3000-49 Control Module - Internal electronic failure
  • Possibility of poor telematic control module functionality
  • Telematic control module internal real time clock or global position system communication failure
