- If the fault is intermittent, refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and test the GSM antenna circuit for short circuit to antenna shield/screen. Using a multimeter measure the circuit resistance between the GSM antenna cable central pin and the shield/screen at the antenna connector, the nominal resistance of the GSM antenna circuit will be approximately 10,000 Ohms. Then apply pressure to the GSM antenna cable and manipulate the cable at the base of the GSM antenna to test for internal circuit failure. If the circuit resistance is reduced as the cable is manipulated an internal cable failure is confirmed. Replace the GSM antenna as necessary

- Replace the backup battery in the telematic control module. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform the routine - Telematics Battery Replacement Reset. Clear the DTCs and retest. To ensure the SOS limited message is cleared from the cluster, the battery parameter in the telematic control module needs to be reset via the diagnostic routine – Test Internal Backup Battery
